Trivia – Stupid Gets You Killed: A Walking Dead Quiz!

Is “Eeny, meeny, miny, moe” your preferred method for making decisions? Do you have a secret room with a tank full of zombie heads? Will you riot of Daryl dies? If so, grab your gear and get ready for a run into town in February for Stupid Gets You Killed: A Walking Dead Quiz!

The quiz will cover the first 8.5 seasons of the show and you can expect a handful of questions about the comics, games and pretty much anything else with “The Walking Dead” in its name. Bring your friend who still insists the comics are better if you want to take home the top prize.

Our theme quizzes are $5 per player. Winners will take home a cash prize to spend on samurai swords and cans of pudding. Losers will be asked to look at the flowers. Our regular rules apply. Teams are limited to six survivors and you’ll need to switch off your walkie-talkies until after the quiz. Cheaters will lose an eye. Or a leg. Or their head.

Registration for this quiz is REQUIRED!

THEMED QUIZ FAQs

Can people under 21 play?
Unfortunately not. All team members must be over 21.

Should I wear a costume?
YES! There may even be a costume contest if there’s enough participation…

How do you sign up? Where do you buy tickets?
Head on over to https://bit.ly/ThemeQuizRegistration to get your team registered. Please remember registrations are NOT a reservation of seating, but it will help us ensure that we have ample space for all our teams. Our theme quizzes tend to fill up quickly and we will turn away teams that did not pre-register. You will not purchase tickets in advance, simply pay the $5 per player entry fee in cash when you arrive at the quiz. Registrations will close 24 hours before the quiz and walk-up space will be available at some venues on a first come, first serve basis.

Will I get some sort of email confirmation?
You and your alternate captain should receive an automated email after submitting your registration and, as long, as long as that email doesn’t indicate that you’re on stand-by, you should plan to be at the quiz. The week of the quiz, we’ll shoot you another reminder as well.

My city says “Sold Out”! Now what?
You can still register for the event for a stand-by spot if your city is still a drop-down option! If there’s sufficient interest, or a team drops out, we’ll let you know! We make no promises that you’ll be able to get in, but if we can make it happen, you’ll be the first to know.

When will “Stand-by” teams know if they have a spot?
That depends on a lot of factors, but we’ll let you know as soon as we can. The latest you’ll know is 24 hours before the event.

How do you change your team name, number of players on the team or cancel a registration?
After you’ve registered, you can make changes to it by emailing us at marketing@geekswhodrink.com. You can also change your team name when you arrive at the quiz.

Is this a free quiz?
No, it’s $5 per person to play (bring cash!), and we’ll ask you to pay for everyone on your team before we give you quiz materials. If a team member is going to be late, we won’t ask you pay in advance, but if they fail to pay on arrival, your team will be disqualified.

What’s the maximum/minimum players per team?
There is no minimum, but if you want to win, you should have a fully staffed squad. We’re happy to help you find teammates in advance on social media or on the day of. Team maximum is strictly six players, as always. Everyone sitting with you is considered part of your team.

Do spectators have to pay?
Yes. Yes, they do. Spectators generally have to pay for sporting events, right? This also goes for Geeks Who Drink employees that aren’t working at the event and the people they make love to.

Can my dad/girlfriend/friend sit at our table and not play?
No. Six people max on a team and all players must pay. If they’re sitting with you and not playing, we’re going to ask that they move.

Will BLANK TOPIC be covered?
Everything is fair game. Study hard. Apply yourself. And we never give clues.

How long will the quiz last?
Our regular quizzes run about 2 hours, but themed quizzes require a bit more heavy lifting in terms of logistics, scoring and extra stuff we may have planned. Average is about 2 1/2 hours.

I’d like to help promote the quiz/talk to you on my podcast/contribute some bonus prizes.
Great! Contact us at marketing@geekswhodrink.com and we’ll see about making that happen.
