Trivia – The Office Quiz – Bears, Beets, and Bonus Questions

Are you the self-proclaimed World’s Best Boss? Would you prefer to have people be afraid of how much they love you? Ever start a sentence and you don’t even know where it’s going, you just hope you find it along the way? If so, come celebrate yourself as we return to Scranton for Bears, Beets, Bonus Questions: An Office Quiz! on August 14th!

Jim, it’s going to take many, many, many pranks to defeat Dwight at this quiz, so you’d better start prepping! Our questions will cover all nine seasons of the beloved NBC show. Yes, including the last season. We promise you, we feel the same way about Nellie. Study, pause and analyze all three acts of Threat Level Midnight. Memorize all those Secret Santa gifts, and unearth as much as you can on Creed’s backstory. Don’t waste your time with the British version, we won’t be covering it.

Geeks Who Drink rules limit teams to a six player max and the quiz is $5 for each player to play. If we see you on your phone during the quiz, we’ll entomb it in Jell-O for all eternity. Our winners won’t take home Dundies, they’ll take home cold hard cash. The more players, the bigger the pot.

Your team is required to register for this quiz! Get that done at https://form.jotform.com/81237634188967!

THEMED QUIZ FAQs

Can people under 21 play?
Yes, but the quiz will probably go a few minutes past 9pm so let’s not keep the little ones out too late.

How do you sign up? Where do you buy tickets?
You can register your team by filling out this form: https://form.jotform.com/81237634188967. This is NOT a reservation of seating, but it will help us ensure that we have ample space for all our teams. We anticipate our theme quizzes will fill up quickly and we will turn away teams that did not pre-register. You will not purchase tickets in advance, simply pay the $5 per player entry fee in cash when you arrive at the quiz. Registrations will close 24 hours before the quiz and, if space permits, walk-up spots will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

Will I get some sort of email confirmation?
You and your alternate captain should receive an automated email after submitting your registration and, as long, as that email doesn’t indicate that you’re on stand-by, you should plan to be at the quiz. The week of the quiz, we’ll shoot you a reminder about the quiz as well.

How do you change your team name, number of players on the team or cancel a registration?
After you’ve registered, you can make changes to it by emailing us at marketing@geekswhodrink.com. You can also change your team name when you arrive at the quiz.

Is this a free quiz?
No, it’s $5 per person to play (bring cash!), and we’ll ask you to pay for everyone on your team before we give you quiz materials. If a team member is going to be late, we won’t ask you pay in advance, but if they fail to pay on arrival, your team will be DQ’d.

What’s the maximum/minimum players per team?
There is no minimum, but if you want to win, you should have a fully staffed squad. We’re happy to help you find teammates in advance on social media or on the day of. Team maximum is strictly six players, as always. Everyone sitting with you is considered part of your team.

Do spectators have to pay?
Yes. Yes, they do. Spectators generally have to pay for sporting events, right? This also goes for Geeks Who Drink employees that aren’t working at the event and the people they make love to.

Can my dad/girlfriend/friend sit at our table and not play?
No. Six people max on a team and all players must pay. If they’re sitting with you and not playing, we’re going to ask that they move.

How is the prize amount determined?
In most cases, the prize amount is 50% of the total take. Why not 100%? Because we have to cover our costs of producing and marketing these event quizzes. If the pot is sufficiently large, we’ll split it between first and second or first, second and third place.

How long will the quiz last?
Our regular quizzes run about 2 hours, but themed quizzes require a bit more heavy lifting in terms of logistics, scoring and extra stuff we may have planned. Average is about 2 1/2 hours.

I’d like to help promote the quiz/talk to you on my podcast/contribute some bonus prizes.
Great! Contact us at marketing@geekswhodrink.com and we’ll see about making that happen
