New beer on tap – Red Stapler, and first Firkin Friday

After a brief intermission from Hurricane Matthew, we’re back in business. And we’ve released a new beer – our Red Stapler Red IPA.

Hop heads will love this full-bodied red IPA brewed with Munich and biscuit malts, which give it a deep ruby color and bready nose. Hopped with Northern Brewer, Magnum, and Centennial hops, it has a resinous flavor and lingering bitterness. This is Drone’s big brother. Job got you down? Red Stapler will get you through! “Excuse me, I believe you have my stapler…” 7.5% ABV, 18 SRM, 88 IBU

In the taproom:

Friday 10/14 our first Firkin Friday kicks off with a cask conditioned Spilt Milk Stout with raspberries and white chocolate. Yum! 2 Nixons will be there as well doing their amazing pop-up Japanese yakitori and/or ramen.

Saturday 10/15 – Food Box food truck at Two Blokes 5 – 8pm!

Sunday 10/16 – Barefoot in the Brewery Yoga 10:30 – 11:30am. Yoga is changing to Sunday for the month of October. Come for the yoga, namaste for the beer!

From the brewhouse:

After a shut down courtesy of Hurricane Matthew we’re ramping up production again. We did have some electrical issues due to power surges and 2 of our 3 phases of power going down. But after some repairs we’re back up and running, and other than losing a week of production time we’re none the worse for wear.

New on tap – Matty’s tapping the firkin of Spilt Milk stout with raspberries and white chocolate on Friday!!! Red stapler red IPA is now on tap.

In the fermentersLiquid Lunch pale ale should be kegged at the end of this week or over the weekend so it will be back on tap very soon. Midnight Ryed Black Rye IPA will also be ready to be kegged very soon and will be back on tap shortly.

Next up –  brewing a double batch of Drone honey rye IPA. Keep Calm and Saison French farmhouse ale will be rebrewed in the next few weeks. Then Who’s Ya’ Crandaddy Cranberry Wheat will be next up as soon as we see cranberries in season!

To friends, to beer, Two Blokes.
