New Beer Release, and Summer Hours
On Thursday, June 1 we’re releasing our new “Log Tosser” Wee Heavy Scotch Ale. Long boil times and low fermentation temperatures create an exceptionally malty beer with sweet caramel and butterscotch flavors. It pours a beautiful dark copper hue, and you’ll find dark fruit aromas on the nose as it warms up. At 9.7% ABV it hides its alcohol well making it very drinkable. Brewed in collaboration with Commonhouse Aleworks. 9.7% ABV, 22 SRM, 20 IBU

Now that summer is unofficially here, we’re moving to summer hours! We’ve added extra hours to take advantage of that evening light.
Summer Hours (new hours in red)
Monday – Thursday: 4pm – 9pm
Friday: 3pm – 10pm
Saturday: 12pm – 10pm
Sunday: 12pm – 8pm
From the Brewhouse
Head Brewer Matty has starting a barrel aging program. In collaboration with Commonhouse Aleworks we’ve filled two bourbon barrels (a Blanton’s and an Eagle Rare) with the Log Tosser Wee Heavy. We’re also aging the Captain Bligh’s Robust Porter with vanilla beans, coconut and cocoa nibs on rum barrels. We’re planning to fill a tequila barrel with Bushfire Chipotle Amber. And we have a Chardonnay barrel that we’ll fill soon, beer TBD. In the fermenters we’ve got Bushfire Chipotle amber, Wicked Throat Chamah, and the First Blood Hefeweizen so those will all be coming back on in the taproom soon.
